1. Detroit Lions
- Smith, Jason, OT Baylor
After watching the film and reading about coach Schwartz thinking, I think that this will go toward Curry. I have always said that this pick will be either a OT or a LB. All these draftniks experts can say what they want, but in the end its who ever signs the deal before the draft. Look at the Texans when they had Young, Williams, and Bush. The Dolphins did the same thing last year with Long. So, if I was Stafford, I would take the deal if offered first because you will probably lose more. Smith could be the front runner now due to the Peterson signing. |
2. St. Louis Rams
- Monroe, Eugene, OT Virginia
The Rams could go Smith or Crabtree here. The release of Holt and Pace is having this team unknown where they will go. I think that they will go after a OT Monroe more because they just could not let their QB stand up. |
3. Kansas City Chiefs
- Curry, Aaron, OLB Wake Forest
Thanks for the Cassel trade, the Chiefs are going to work on the DL. Curry falls here and would be the next Derrick Thomas in KC. Now the question would be utilizing them right. |
4. Seattle Seahawks
- Orakpo, Brian, DE Texas
Crabtree is still my favorite to go here. But the surgery and also not working out is hurting him a little. The TJ signing is also making the decision for them to lean toward fixing the DL. After the Redding trade, DT is not an option of need. Getting Crabtree is now more realistic but he is a lot of investment on a second guess. In 2001, the Seahawks picked a WR at the #9 spot and he did workout before the draft. I think his name was Koren Robinson and he did not work out that great. |
5. Cleveland Browns
- Brown, Everette, DE Florida State
|
| Brown could help the Cleveland from a defensive stand point. There is no DB worthy drafting in the top 5. So if they could trade down, would be a dream scenario to get a Jenkins or Davis. For now, Brown is their new man. |
|
6. Cincinnati Bengals
- Oher, Michael, OT Ole Miss
The Bungals will grab a OL to help Palmer from getting injured. Look for a defensive player as well, because they still dont have a defense. |
7. Oakland Raiders
- Crabtree, Michael, WR Texas Tech
If Crabtree falls this far, Al Davis will probably die of a heart attack from having a wet dream fall down to the 7th pick. Crabtree not working out and the surgery could go anywhere from the 4th to the 7th pick. Crabtree will give Russel a big time playmaker that will definitely sell jerseys all across the U.S. just like Fitzgerald. |
8. Jacksonville Jaguars
- Raji, BJ, DT Boston College
The Jags can finally get over the Stroud trade with Raji. Raji would again dominate next to Henderson. Del Rio team is always up one year and down the next. Last year was a down year so they should be a playoff team this year. |
9. Green Bay Packers
- Johnson, Michael, DE Georgia Tech
If you go by the best player available formula, Johnson should really be here. He had an excellent combine and is the long athelete that could help the new "hybrid" defense. Capers could possibly ruin this team and could be fired if he doesnt get something going good and wasting a super talent like Johnson. |
10. San Francisco 49ers
- Stafford, Matthew, QB Georgia
This is where Stafford will go. While coach Singaltary wants winners on his team. He is not all sured about Hill being the QB of the future. So draft another and have Stafford learn for a season. Then him loose in 2010. |
11. Buffalo Bills
- Moreno, Knowshon, RB Georgia
This could surpise most people thinking that the Bills do not need another RB. But lets look at the troubles that Lynch has been getting into since he came into the league 3 years ago. He is going down the Pacman jones path, so he would pretty soon be suspended. Get Moreno to make sure that the team is covered in case Lynch goes to jail. |
12. Denver Broncos
- Cushing, Brian, OLB USC
Cushing brings a blue collar work ethic style to a team crying for defense. Cushing could play multiple positions and would solidify a new regime in Denver. |
13. Washington Redskins
- Smith, Andre, OT Alabama
Smith is just messing himself up in the last month and a half. First it was his "Hoodini" act at the combine, and now its the topless 40 he ran at pro day. This guy has tits like a girl flapping around. Where is censorship when you need it. Just kidding. But seriously Smith will redeem himself and hopefully this is just his youthfullness that is coming out of his system. He wont last past the Redskins due to them needing to get younger at the OL. |
14. New Orleans Saints
- Davis, Vontae, CB Illinois
How ever pulled the Vilma trade should be congratulated for pulling a steal. Vilma was exceptional on a dismal defense. Now they need to work on get some help in the backfield. Davis could be the pick here. Dont rule out a LB. Greer signing could mean they want a guy like Matthews or Laurinaitis. |
15. Houston Texans
- Jenkins, Malcolm, CB Ohio State
Jenkins could fall here and would be a good thing for the Texans getting a best player format and someone who can play both CB and S. Look for them to trade down though. GM Smith is always looking to add more draft picks. Also looking for a LB. |
16. San Diego Chargers
- Jackson, Tyson, DE LSU
Jackson could be a stable along a defense. The Chargers have always had a the philosphy of drafting the best player available. |
