2009 NFL Mock Draft

49. Chicago Bears - Williams, Derrick, WR Penn State
Jay Cutler is now in Chicago, but he doesn't have the best receivers to throw to. Juaguin Iglesias was the #1 option at receiver at Oklahoma and can step in as a consistent target for Cutler to utilize.
50. Cleveland Browns - Moore, William, S Missouri
(Browns pick from the Kellen Winslow trade). The Browns pass up on taking a rush linebacker in round one, and get lucky enough here for a guy like Clint Sintim to fall to them. Sintim has the size and pass rushing skills to play rush linebacker, and was at one point considered a 1st round pick.
51. Dallas Cowboys - White, Pat, QB West Virginia
Roy Williams and his one dimensional game is gone from Dallas, and Jerry Jones loves drafting those SEC players. Rashad Johnson comes from Nick Saban's defensive system and really shined as a playmaker this past year in Alabama.
52. New York Jets - Iglesias, Juaquin, WR Oklahoma
Derrick Williams saved his draft stock by running in the 4.3's at his pro-day. Once one of the most highly recruited players coming out of high school, Derrick Williams can help replace the loss of Levarneaus Coles.
53. Philadelphia Eagles - Nelson, Shawn, TE Southern Miss
Brent Celek isn't exactly what you would call a great TE. Shawn Nelson really came on as a strong receiving tight end with the speed and athleticism to stretch the field.
54. Minnesota Vikings - Unger, Max, C Oregon
Matt Birk has gone to Baltimore so there is hole at center for the vikings. They might also need an upgrade at right tackle. The ultra versatile Max Unger can play anywhere on the offensive line, so taking him will fill either of those needs.
55. Atlanta Falcons - Smith, Alphonso, CB Wake Forest
The Falcons lost CB Domonique Foxworth in the off-season and could use another corner. The falcons haven't exactly had success with VaTech corners in the past, but Victor Harris doesn't have the typical flashy profile that previous Hokie corners have had.
56. Miami Dolphins - Kruger, Paul, DE Utah
Joey Porter's time in the NFL is winding down, so a replacement for his pass rushing skills will be needed. Paul Kruger is coming off a huge college post season and will look to continue his winning in Miami.
57. Baltimore Ravens - Meredith, Jamon, OT South Carolina
Patrick Chung will be a nice fit along side Ed Reed.
58. New England Patriots - Johnson, Rashad, S Alabama
Why Not? Who better to learn how to play WR from than guys like Wes Welker, Joey Galloway, and Randy Moss? Plus, pat white will enable the Pats to add the wildcat to their offensive repertoire if they so choose.
59. Carolina Panthers - Gilbert, Jarron, DT San Jose State
Kris Jenkins' departure really left a gaping hole in the middle of the defensive line. Jarron Gilbert is ultra athletic and can go a long way to being a stable force in the interior of the panthers d-line.
60. New York Giants - Chung, Patrick, S Oregon
Plaxico Burress is going to jail most likely, and Eli Manning needs a big wideout in the red zone. If they giants arent able to get braylon edwards, they need a big receiver.
61. Indianapolis Colts - Moala, Fili, DT USC
The colts miss out on Peria Jerry in round 1 so they fill their need at DT in round 2. I could also see Fili Moala here, depending on what the Colts are looking for.
62. Tennessee Titans - Sidbury, Lawrence, DE Richmond
Someone needs to replace Albert Haynesworth's departure. USC produces quality defensive players.
63. Arizona Cardinals - Wood, Eric, C Louisville
The steelers dont have many needs, so they add to the depth of their o-line with this pick.
64. Pittsburgh Steelers -
Eric wood has really impressed scouts as of late, and the cardinals could use some consistency at center.
Picks 1-16 | 17-32 | 33-48 | 49-64
