49. Chicago Bears
- Butler, Darius, CB Connecticut
Pass defense is not the strongest part of the Bears' game plan. And Butler has potential to have a great career. They could use him in the secondary if they want to improve their game. |
50. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Brown, Donald, RB Connecticut
The Buc's released Warrick Dunn, in hope to be successful with former backup Derrick Ward. But from experiences from the 2008 season, Derrick Ward can't be trusted as a starter. He has some moments of excellence, but is not reliable enough. |
51. Dallas Cowboys
- Williams, Derrick, WR Penn State
Without TO, the Cowboys are left with lots of small performing wide receivers like Roy Williams, Patrick Crayton, and Miles Austin. But they need a player who can lead their team on and off the field. |
52. New York Jets
- Chung, Patrick, S Oregon
With the AFC East's passing game being better than ever with Tom Brady, Chad Pennington, and Trent Edwards, the Jets secondary could use some help if they want to keep up with the rest of the league. |
53. Philadelphia Eagles
- Black, Ciron, OT LSU
|
| Donovan McNabb is one of the better screen quarterbacks in the league, with options such as Westbrook, Jackson, and Baskett. But any good screen game needs some good blockers so the players can get downfield. |
|
54. Minnesota Vikings
- Coffman, Chase, TE Missouri
The Vikings have the outstanding rusher Adrian Peterson for their running game. And for the passing game, they could combine either Tarvaris Jackson, Sage Rosenfels, or an upcoming rookie, with the deep threat Bernard Berrian. So to add to their game, they can have a short physical receiver such as Chase Coffman. |
55. Atlanta Falcons
- Johnson, Rashad, S Alabama
The Falcons' best players on their defense, including Lawyer Milloy and Keith Broooking are close to retirement, and the Falcons could use some replacements. Rashad Johnson could have a good career and make an impact on the franchise for several years. |
56. Miami Dolphins
- Freeman, Marcus, OLB Ohio State
Freeman could match up with Channing Crowder and Joey Porter to make a a very strong linebacking core. And because the type of defensive player that Freeman is still undecided, he could make a good duo with either one of these reliable players. |
57. Baltimore Ravens
- Loadholt, Phil, OT Oklahoma
With the physical rushers Willis McGahee, and Le'Ron McClain, it would help them out to have a powerful run blocker to break through the defensive line to get rushers into the secondary. |
58. New England Patriots
- Ayers, Robert, DE Tennessee
Ayers may be considered a defensive end, but he is a vercitle player who can also be put at linebacker. And these are two positions that the Patriots could use some help at. |
59. Carolina Panthers
- Lindley, Trevard, CB Kentucky
The Panthers are full of explosive stars like DeAngelo Williams, Steve Smith, and Julius Peppers. But they need to back themselves up with some reliable defensive players like Jon Beason. Lindley can come in to help the team, and match up with the playmaker Chris Gamble. |
60. New York Giants
- Kropog, Troy, OT Tulane
When the Giants' passing game was in trouble due to the loss of Plaxico Burress, the running game did an outstanding job. And they owe this to the great offensive line. But Shaun O'Hara, Kareem McKenzie, and Rich Seubert, have all spent at least 8 years in the league and are close to retirement. They could use some fresh players on the line to keep their reputation going. |
61. Indianapolis Colts
- Harris, Victor, CB Virginia Tech
The Colts only have one really talented player in their secondary, who is Bob Sanders. And he could use some help, considering the passing game of the AFC South. Victor Harris is a quick and capable player and can help any team. |
62. Tennessee Titans
- Davis, Nate, QB Ball State
It's no mystery that Kerry Collins is getting old. He is 14 years into his career and could retire at any time now. And the titans can't take any chances. They should take Nate Davis, a great scrambling quarterback with a strong arm. |
63. Pittsburgh Steelers
- Mickens, Mike, CB Cincinnati
The Steelers have one of the best linebacker squads in the league, consisting of defensive player of the year James Harrison, inside linebacker James Farrior, and outside linebacker Lamar Woodley. But they could use some defensive backs to help out Troy Palamalou. |
64. Arizona Cardinals
- Iglesias, Juaquin, WR Oklahoma
It is likely that Anquan Boldin will leave the Cardinals by the end of the offseason. Which will largely hurt their chances next year by splitting up their duo of fantastic wide receivers. So to compliment Larry Fitzgerald, they should bring in another strong physical receiver to replace Boldin. |
